DPF filters remove soot from the exhaust gas of loader engines and prevents the particulate matter from exiting out of the tail pipe, keeping the air clean. This also keeps the engine clean as less soot is mixed with the engine oil, increasing the life of the engine. DPF metal casings are coated in high temperature paint to protect from excess heat.
